This is the best BBQ we have ever had! Pitmasters Joe and Duke gave us tour of the pit! We felt so special. I can’t say which meat was best because they all where so good. Brisket had a nice smoke ring and was super moist. The ribs were tender, turkey had a nice smoked flavor and the Texas Twinkies we out of this world! It’s worth the wait to get inside. You won’t be disappointed!
Brisket the fatty part is juicy other then that it was dry. Sausage was below average. Hash brown casserole is very good. BBQ sauce needs work. Good ice tea. Small seating area inside. Great outdoor seating. Fast service, clean and friendly.
We went to Hurtado’s at 5 pm on a Friday. We waited only about 30 minutes in line before we could order food. They did have water in a cooler you could pour into cups for free while waiting. It was around 95 degrees but it didn’t feel too bad while waiting. This style of restaurant you order at the counter and they deliver it to you. The indoors has A/C but is a minimal space as most BBQ joints do We ordered a two meat and a three meat platter and each had two sides. The brisket was very good and perfectly cooked and tender. The ribs were the same and pull off the bone delicious. The pulled pork was very tender, maybe a little too tender and juicy. I tend too like my pork a little less shredded and slippery but it was not drowned in any sauce as good BBQ joints like this don’t do that. The sides were quite good, better than average, we ordered the green beans, baked beans, and mac and cheese. Over all a very satisfying meal would definitely recommend,
