Place was clean. Condiment bar was clean. Average BBQ. Meat was a little on the dry side. Choice of sauces were excellent and condiments fresh. All in all food was good but on the pricey side especially for the Key Lime Pie, which was frozen. Was not a busy time and wait staff acted like we were putting them out to take our order. Two wait staff appeared to be taking extended breaks behind the front counter drinking beverages while one young lady was cleaning and restocking. At the end of our meal we asked for to go boxes. Instead of handing them to us we were directed to get them ourselves from an area clearly for wait staff. Observed kitchen prep or cook not wearing a hair net. We haven’t been back and unlikely we will. 2⭐️for poor customer service.

The food, while flavorful, didn’t quite reach the level of exceptional that would make us eager to return. We found the portions of brisket, chicken, and sausage to be on the smaller side, especially considering the premium price point. The restaurant was also quite empty during our visit, which was surprising given the cost and the level of service. Pros: Distinct Oak-Smoked Flavor: If you love a robust smoky taste, this is a standout feature. Good Seasoning: The food is well-seasoned, enhancing the overall taste. Unique Hot BBQ Sauce: The hot sauce available inside adds a flavorful kick. Cons: Small Portions for the Price: The servings of brisket, chicken, and sausage were smaller than anticipated. Heavy Oak Smoke: The intense oak smoke flavor might be overwhelming for some. Empty Atmosphere: The restaurant was notably empty, which may raise questions about its popularity or experience. Overall, while Smokey Mo’s BBQ offers a distinctive smoky flavor and good seasoning, the portion sizes and price might not justify a repeat visit for everyone.

Open Memorial day and select other holidays (check website for Fourth of July holiday hours) Catering available. I had the brisket lunch plate with super tender and juicy smoked brisket and handmade potato salad smooth and creamy and a half and half southern iced tea. Lunch comes with pickles, onions, awesome BBQ sauce and two slices of bread. Perfection!
