This was my first time at this restaurant. I was excited to try it and it didn’t disappoint! The sliced brisket was tender and flavorful. The fried okra was crispy and well salted. But the real star of the meal was the BBQ sauce. I don’t know if it’s homemade or they buy it, but it’s some of, if not the best BBQ sauce I’ve ever had. I live 16 miles away and would make that drive just for the sauce haha. I heard they’re working on setting up an all you can eat buffet in the near future – would love to go for that. Highly recommend, can’t wait to go back!
Order this online and I be mindful of the drive back to my hotel for the temperature. I got the brisket baked beans coleslaw and Mac and cheese. Brisket was tasty and tender. Bbq sauce was amazing that came with the dish. Coleslaw has amazing flavor! Baked beans were ok and the Mac and cheese could use more oomph! I’m not a fan of the white bread but if it came with corn bread that would have big a plus for me. I’ll definitely make sure to eat inside next time.
One of the best barbecue restaurants in Houston. Old time atmosphere, but modern. I ordered the three meat BBQ platter. It ran about $18.99 plus Dr. Pepper(20oz). The food was fresh. My sides were turnup-greens, pinto beans, and french fries were hot when served. Had opportunity to meet the owner, Mr. Andy. Friendly staff! Thank you for your service to our country, by serving in the US Marine Corps. If you’re ever in Houston, it’s worth your time to stop by Andy’s Hawg Wild Bar-b-que.
