The ribs fall right off the bone they’re deliciously smokey and tender. The potato casserole is cheesy and you can taste the fresh chives. The green beans are soft and are very refreshing. I asked for sauce on the side and they gave plenty. I’m very happy this place is so close to my work.
During our clinc site visit today, we chose to eat at Black Diamond for lunch. They offered a lunch special, which I was able to order the three pork ribs w/ two sides ( potato salad and chaŕro beans). The ribs were extremely moist, tender, & flavorful. Since moving to this area of Texas in the last six months I have begun to look forward to great charro beans and these did not disappoint! They are in my top 5 that I am willing to drive from Harlingen to McAllen just to get these charro beans! They are a meal w/n themselves! They had smoked sausage, jalapeños, and other great seasonings to make them stand out on their own. Now the potato salad, ummm, let’s just say it was not for me. However, my lunch special was only $11.99! This was awesome for the amount of food I got. Now, my co-worker ordered the one meat plate w/the brisket, mashed baked potatoe, & baked beans. Her brisket looked very moist and tender as well and she stated that it was good as well as her sides. The size of the sides that they give you is very generous. The servers/attendants were very nice and patient in answering our questions since it was our first time in their restaurant. I will be going back because I have to get me some more beans!!
I ordered the Killer bee with two sides of rice and charro beans. The food was excellent!!! The customer service was amazing and the people are friendly.
