Everything we tried was cooked fresh to order and tasted Homemade. We ordered the Alfredo Burnt Ends, the Hibachi chicken, and the Brisket Miso soup. I can confidently say this is the best place to eat in all of Mercedes since we moved down here. The Burnt Ends were so deliciously rich, smoky, and fused perfectly with the layers of cheesiness from the Alfredo sauce. The Hibachi chicken with teriyaki sauce was cooked excellently, flame grilled and had me drinking the remaining sauce. Lastly, the Brisket Miso soup was incredibly flavorful and there was a generous amount of tender savory brisket topped with a drizzle of sweet BBQ sauce. This meal left us feeling so relaxed and happy that we gave this place a try. This is now our new comfort food.
RGV are you looking for BBQ but with #Soul ? you have got to come try this locally family owned place. Its deliciously affordable and large #956 portions. They make all their own sauces: Teriyaki and BBQ was our favorite. We ordered 3 Hibachi Bowls: Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Teriyaki, and Black Mamba Chicken. Plus we had a smoked Brisket plate. sides: Mac & Cheese, Bbq baked beans. Note the Hibachi bowls come with Fried rice and veggies. The Brisket plate comes with rice and 2 sides of choice. The brisket was soooooo good. The staff is friendly and the owners greet you with a smile. They answer any questions you might have about the menu and ready to make recommendations. We got a glimpse of Chef King working the flat grill prepping our meal to order. It was a great experience that does not disappoint. Will visit more often when in the area. FYI as of now it’s drive thru, pick up only. They might have shaded sitting area in the coming future. Plus I heard they’re going to start offering catering services for your special occasions or events. Super kool bc I know I don’t want the stress of cooking for a party, it’s better to leave the cooking to the experts…. Stress free! See attached photos.
Bring the Brisket. If you like big slices of brisket that includes the burnt ends and is busting out of the bun this sandwich is for you. The sauce completes the package. I served the mac and cheese as a side i would have preferred some coleslaw. Going back for the jerk chicken.
