First time to visit here. It was recommended by a friend and it turned out to be a great little barbecue. My daughter and I ordered the fried fish and it was great! Hush puppies were not hush puppies but more like corn nuggets. They were good, just not what I was expecting. We would definitely return if we are in the area.
Excellent food! This Barbecue joint looks humble, but the food inside is amazingly good. Prices are lower than a chain restaurant and the portions are generous.
Without a DOUBT the best fried catfish I’ve EVER had!! The okra was incredible, the baked potatoes are huge! Went with a few guys for a class at Texas A&M and all the locals said we had to go to the original C&J’s (NOT CJ’s lol). We were not disappointed! I got no pictures of my food but I did steal pics from a co-worker and he said it was the best BBQ he’s ever had in his life (and this man knows his BBQ). I would tell anyone visiting (or living nearby) that this is a must go!
