We stopped here by chance, and I’m glad we tried it. The half chicken was seasoned and smoked perfectly. The chopped beef sandwich was also a winner. They offer free beans, and they are also seasoned and tasty. I found the sausage tasty but tough. The ribs were tender but slightly undercooked, in my opinion. The sauce was horrible and extremely watery. I would definitely recommend this place, but skip the sauce.

Famous classic counter service BBQ joint that is great for a large group. They lean into the tourist trap vibe by selling branded merchandise and expensive brisket. Make no mistake, the food is tasty, but it will cost you. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you leave hungry, it’s your own fault

The bar is well-stocked and a great addition to the dining area. Special mentions go to Pit Boss Erick, who runs the pit with skill and passion, ensuring the meat is cooked to perfection, and Rishi at the cash counter, whose helpful and friendly demeanor adds a positive note to every visit. While Cooper’s is a bit on the pricier side, I understand the premium is for the prime location and the unique dining experience it offers. The only area for improvement would be the beef brisket, which I find to be less impressive compared to other items on the menu – it tends to be a bit dry for my taste. Overall, Cooper’s Old Time Pit Barbecue earns a solid 4 stars for its outstanding food, welcoming ambiance, and excellent service. With slight improvements to the brisket and pricing, it could easily reach the full 5 stars.
