First of all the wait staff thing threw me and I was wondering why are we doing this at a BBQ joint. You order from a menu and not at the counter. The red flag for me was there wasn’t really any customers there. I got the Vaquero plate with ribs, brisket and burnt ends. My sides were mac & cheese and street corn. The elote had a vinegar thing going on with it and couldn’t even eat it. The mac & cheese wasn’t creamy at all. It wasn’t freshly made and you could tell by the texture of it. The brisket, ribs and pork burnt ends all tasted as if it were leftovers from the previous day and definitely needed sauce. Oh I almost forgot that I did get the Texas Twinkie. They were smaller than what I’m used to but they were great. It’s a nice atmosphere and all but perhaps that was because it wasn’t busy.

Their famous cornbread is simply exquisite: soft, fluffy and with just the right touch of sweetness, a delight that you cannot miss trying. The meats, on the other hand, are the soul of the place. Masterfully prepared, they have an authentic and juicy flavor that conquers from the first bite, whether you prefer a more tender cut or a more robust option.
This place was super cute! there was a market for local small businesses like @happy.sweets.happy on instagram and it was really cool. That said the service at the bar was meh and the smash burger had so much grizzle I had to give a good bit of it to the dogs. I would come back to the area to support the small businesses and try the other food but I would not come back here.
