We were in San Augustine to pick up some things and decided to get something to eat. Just up the street was this grill. We liked everything about it. Their “Customers Wanted” sign on the street was awesome. The atmosphere inside was just as awesome. Everyone was friendly and the service was great. Thank you Elisabeth!! The food is well prepared and delicious. Definitely we will return when we get back up there.
Our server was the best part of our visit. The amount of food we got for the price was good but nothing tasted homemade. It all tastes like cafeteria food….frozen, canned, or out of a jar. There wasn’t anything “fajita” about the steak fajita quesadillia. It was just tough steak lacking flavor. I’m torn on the atmosphere because it does feel cozy and the nice server was a plus, however…we were forced to listen to a different server complain and gossip the entire time. She’s VERY loud and I heard her say the N word 3 TIMES! We shopped in the small store attached to the restaurant and while I was waiting outside for my girlfriend to finish up, she sat right outside the front door, smoking a cigarette, complaining about work and workers with no lack of profanity. Very unprofessional and we will not be returning to this establishment.
