Stopped in for lunch while on a road trip. Service was excellent. Food was good. Prices were very reasonable. We had sliced brisket sandwiches with sauce on the side and the catfish dinner. While we were there locals tended to order chopped brisket (instead of sliced) and catfish dinners. The sweet tea was the real thing not something you tend to see this far north. If you’re looking for fancy this isn’t your place.
Good breakfast on the go, huge burritos. Looks and taste like from your kitchen. Hubby and I got to go. Could use hotter salsa but that’s personal preference.
While traveling with my husband on a quick road trip, we decided to sample Texas barbecue. Eager to indulge, I ordered a chicken sandwich and a combo meat plate with three selections. However, the barbecue didn’t quite meet my expectations. The ribs were overcooked, resulting in a hard and crispy texture at the ends, and the chicken was passable at best. Despite the culinary letdown, the customer service was good.
