Had a lovely meal at Liberty BBBQ. The staff was friendly and showed a lot of teamwork. The food was delicious and filling. The chef even came out to check on us. We went for lunch with a total dining time of 4o minutes, which makes it a great lunch location if you’re in the area. Highly recommend this place.
Priced like the best BBQ in town but they’re really competing with Poke E Joe’s and Rudy’s. No smoke flavor or ring on the rib or brisket and overcooked on both. Brisket dry and the rib bland. I’d avoid anything standard here. The two saving graces were the potato salad and trash fries. The potato salad was a good take trying to be more like a twice baked and tasted like sour cream was mixed in the mayo. The trash fries were pretty great and worth the $15, just make those your meal. They layer some cheese in the middle of the fries and none of it was soggy.
Moist brisket was good, lean brisket was extremely dry & fries were very salty! Ask for them with light seasoning. I don’t think the owner liked when I asked to exchange the very dry lean brisket for moist brisket. He seemed bothered by my request, but ultimately and why I am leaving a good review. He rectified the situation by exchanging the brisket & by thanking my husband for 25 years or service. Overall, it’s a good and clean atmosphere. Bill for two was only $60 and that’s a pretty good deal when it comes to BBQ. Will we visit again? Possibly! PS. My husband said those brisket deviled eggs are delicious.
