On my way out of Giddings, I made a quick stop at Lost Pines BBQ and grabbed a 2-meat plate. The marbled brisket was cooked / smoked to perfection – it had the perfect balance of texture and flavor. The sausage was great – I think it was German sausage. And the parsley potatoes were SO good. I think I will get a quart of those next time. And the BBQ sauce was really good – not too mustardy and not too sweet – just a great unique flavor that does not over power the deliciousness of the main attractions. They have a really great selection of sides both hot and cold. Next time I’ll have to eat inside or outside in the covered picnic area and get a baked potato.
So glad I stopped by, prices are amazing and food was even better! Beef ribs sell out, so come check’em out. That quarter chicken was something else
The food is excellent. I ordered the brisket (wet), potato salad and coleslaw. The smoke flavor made the meat very yummy. I actually called the restaurant to tell tnhem how much I enjoyed my food. Customer service was great as well. The place is quaint with several tables to eat in. This is my first time in Giddings so glad I saw this place for lunch.
