This is an old school barbecue place that has solid barbecue and good sides. The moment that you step inside you will definitely smell the Smoky aroma which will be imparted on your clothes and pretty much everything that you bring into the store. That may or may not be a bad thing depending on your perspective. The moist brisket was actually meatier yet also moist and the ribs were very tasty. While the sausage I think was great. The casing was spot on and the tenderness of the sausage really was something that I had enjoyed. If you’re in the town of Taylor and want some solid barbecue it’s worth the trip.
Definitely a barbecue place with a long history, and you realize that as you walk into the place. Sounds like they are getting a lot of traffic because of the new Samsung fab. They asked everyone where people are visiting from. We went on a Saturday afternoon and the pork ribs and all the links were gone. We had moist brisket and beef rib with a side of Mac n cheese. The meats tasted good. Brisket is cut in big pieces (3 slice for a pound). The mac n cheese unfortunately was very bland and kinda watery. It tasted like it’s from a boxed mac n cheese? I wouldn’t say it’s as good as Terry Black but it’s priced just like Terry Black. Also, I wish they had better barbecue sauce. The two options on the table were both bland and unbalanced.
When you walk into the building, the business cards are covered with smoke. You smell it … the wooden floor may creak the old tables waiting4 u to enjoy your food. It just takes you back to the 50s or 60s. This is what Texas Barbecue is, and when anyone asks me my top 5? This one’s always mentioned at the top of that. There’s a couple of others that are super close that I enjoy, but this is just so good.. had brisket and pork ribs.. perfection, in my opinion. The potato salad is wonderful. However, it had a very mild taste of vinegar, and I am not a fan of that. But I barely noticed that.
