I sent my husband to place my order and grab my plate I was craving. He said the service was friendly and upon entering he was greeted which I feel is most important being it was our first time trying them. When my food got back to me it was exactly what I rated it and deserved all stars to be filled in!! Mac n cheese was cheesy, candied yams was candied, ribs was a bit rough but was still manageable with the sauce on the side, baked beans was baked also came with the most fluffiest piece of corn bread and a side of corn… ☻︎☻︎☻︎ ℍ !!!! & !!! ᴡɪʟʟ ᴅᴇғɪɴɪᴛᴇʟʏ ʙᴇ ʀᴇᴛᴜʀɴɪɴɢ ᴛᴏ ᴛʀʏ ᴍᴏʀᴇ ᴄᴏᴍʙᴏs!!!!
I’ll definitely be coming back those ribs omg the best around here and it is not even close. I wasn’t a fan of the collard greens though but you can definitely still eat them, and the yams are alright but lack a bit of flavor I just can’t put my finger on it. The glaze that they are in is good I just wish it was more in the yams like maybe the chunks are too big and the flavor isn’t seeping in all the way when cooking. However, it is all good it just needs a little tweaking. I want to try the Mac but they were sold out. I’ll try the Mac and Baked Beans next with ribs probably tomorrow. Edit: I came back to say the yams are better if you let them sit and come back and eat them later.
1st time visiting. Met the owner who was very nice and inviting. They were out of chicken so I tried the brisket and it was fabulous. Seasoned just right, with yams and greens. The yams were a little under flavored but perfect later in the day. The greens were not my favorite today but my referral said there were off that day I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes. But overall I enjoyed, so go get you some.
