We came here at around 11am and stood in line for about 20 minutes. We had lean brisket, fatty brisket, beef rib, glazed pork rib, and glazed chicken thigh with mac and cheese, jalapeno cheese rice, and jambalaya. The brisket, both lean and fat, was absolutely 10 out of 10 – especially with some of the house-made golden barbecue sauce (also sold by the bottle at $10.99 per bottle). The beef rib was very tender and the pork rib was juicy. The chicken thigh had a strong smokey flavor. The star of the sides was the jalapeno cheese rice – the texture was almost like mashed potatoes. The mac and cheese was okay. I would come back for the brisket.
Pinkerton’s in Houston is a must-visit for barbecue lovers. We sampled most of the menu, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The ribs were really good—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The brisket, while slightly lacking in flavor, was still tasty, and I’d definitely order it again. The standout for me, though, was the jalapeño cheese sausage—it was hands down the best thing on the menu. I also enjoyed the chicken, which was flavorful and juicy. As for the sides, the mac and cheese and polenta rice dish were a bit underwhelming. However, the greens were delicious and really stood out. I truly appreciated how well they were prepared. The beans was the star of the show, they were so flavorful and we went back and got more. Overall, the rich flavors of the barbecue and the fantastic sides like the greens made it a memorable dining experience. Lastly, don’t forget to try the blueberry bread pudding! It was so good. Whether you’re a barbecue enthusiast or just looking for a great meal, I highly recommend giving Pinkerton’s a try. You won’t be disappointed!
The brisket, while slightly lacking in warm, was still tasty, and I’d definitely order it again. The turkey was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The choped pork was amazing. The cashier wasrn’t in a good vibe, poker face for few friends, her main goal is only wacth Tik Tok , defenily not the customer service.
