Place was packed but the staff knows what there doing and with the great great customer service it was not long before we had a seat . I had the barbecued deep fried spare ribs and they were delicious . I will definitely be back for more as they were definitely on another level with a crispy outer shell and juicy soft tender meat inside. My wife had the 2 meat plate with the brisket and sausage tasting great with loads of flavor and not to much fat. Macaroni was great as well, we will definitely be back soon.
A little quick lunch with my favorite first born, at Rabel’s BBQ in La Vernia! Great place, surprisingly clean for a BBQ place in Texas ! Everything made from scratch and absolutely delicious! The brisket is very smoked, very tender & very juicy! Lean or marble …. I am “rabel” so of course I chose marbled. Their potato salad is fresh, and I Love that they don’t load it with mayo… their Mac & Cheese as well made in house and their pickled cucumbers are fresh so it’s more like a cucumber/onions salad, very refreshing! A must go to when you are visiting San Antonio area. My Cibolo Margarita… at first I thought it was a bit too sweet… but combined with my meal, it was perfect! We bought the 2 meats/2 sides meal and it was the exact amount needed for us! Lastly we don’t feel bloated and yucky… Will definitely come back! Now I need a nap
We visited for the first time and it was very good. All of the items are home made, with the exception of the buns. But, even the buns were very fresh and delicious. They have homemade pickles and onions available for customers which are delicious. We ordered the loaded spud w/ brisket that was very filling. Also the turkey sandwich with homemade potato salad which was delicious. And finally the brisket sandwich w/ Mac n cheese. What is not pictured is the homemade peach cobbler w/ homemade ice cream, which were delicious. This may be a bit out of the way but definitely well worth the drive.
