We tried tried this place for happy hour one day and no one was available to greet us when we entered, we sat ourselves and waited, finally the bartender acknowledge us and said she would be with us in a moment. She got our drink orders and we ordered the Sideways Toothpicks, 1/2 pound of Brisket and 1/2 of Ribs, The Sideways Toothpicks were fantastic cooked to perfection and a nice mix of Jalapeño and Onion that are fried. The Ribs and Brisket was very delicious. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Very good food and great selection of Draught Beers. We will be returning again as you get great food and service all in one spot.
We ordered an appetizer egg roll with brisket, cream cheese, corn. It was ok, my hubby doesn’t like cream cheese and I can’t eat anything spicy. The pork ribs were dry. I ate the brisket not much flavor but a lot of fat.Macaroni and cheese was thick but not creamy. My husband had the potato salad he said it was tasted bad. Now to the good stuff, the service was good, the place was clean. We ate outside and you have to deal with the crows diving at you. The view is nice of the lake. We noticed when we walked in, not to many people eating. All at the bar drinking. I’m sure this is a fun spot, bar like atmosphere. They have karaoke, live music on certain days. Our bill was $62 for an appetizer,1/2 lb brisket,1/2 lb ribs, potato salad and macaroni. I wish the food was better and hoping this would be a weekly place to go to.
The barbecue is the very best I have had from anywhere in Rockwall. The caboodle is amazing and jalapeños are super delicious. Service during the day was great. My only complaint is when I wanted to take my family back to try it you have to be 21 to enter. So definitely not family friendly. Also no burnt ends which I’m assuming are amazing.
