Let’s start by acknowledging that most chain bbq joints are not all that great, but my husband and I were hungry in the area and thought why not, we found this Smokey Mo’s, we walked and got greeted by Jesse. We ordered and to our surprise the food was amazing!! Jesse then comes by and asks how everything is and proceeded to chat with us like we were long time friends, explaining how he has a specific way of smoking the meats and you can tell that Jesse does love his craft and further more we went to another Smokey Mo’s just cause he was there. In short Jesse took great care of us and definitely cares and puts his love into the food. Call around, make sure he’s at the location close to you if not go to the one he’s at. You will not regret it!!
Great BBQ food at a good price. Service was really good, all staff was friendly and welcoming. The food came quick, it looked and tasted really good. There are also pickles and bread for you to have, as much as you need. Really enjoyed it.
This is a three meat platter with two sides PLUS additional rib for $3.80. I am extremely disappointed on both portion and size. I selected only brisket for all three meat selection. I have never eaten brisket so dry. I am confident it was prob left over brisket from previous day and cut in very thin slices to at least make it edible. I saw pictures from other peoples 3 meat platters and they looked good in portion as well as quality. Hope this is a location specific issue, but I am not going back ever again. Stick to HEB.
