Amazing! Sorry for the long post, but… So glad my dad mentioned he was thinking he was hungry for BBQ when he did. We were about 5 miles south of Post and on our way towards Lubbock and he asked me to look for some BBQ. This place came up with excellent reviews and others saying you have to stop if you come through. So we made the stop early for lunch and it definitely didn’t disappoint! We are headed to Albuquerque from Florida and just passing through. It was a perfect place to stop for an excellent home cooked meal. The owners were friendly, the place was busy and the locals definitely come here for lunch which is a good sign! The food was excellent! My dad had the brisket sandwich. I had a mac-n-cheese bowl topped with pulled pork (I can’t remember the awesome creative name). I missed getting a picture of his huge sandwich, but mine is attached. They also have a map that you can place a pin where your from. It is so cool. They have had people from every state and many countries. Just the neatest place. Will definitely be back if we are through this area again!
I can’t say enough about this locally owned family business. Number One? The RIBS ARE GREAT. I’m going Tonja e to go back for more, can’t say I’ve had as good ever. I wish there was more sauce in the ramekin, because it was equally as good and I would’ve sipped it if I had more! LOL. The Pickle Lemonade is a little wacky, even amongst the staff, but the more you have the more you want. Awesome spot in between Lubbock and Abilene, now on my “must stop” list.
Delicious Texas BBQ. The brisket was fall apart tender, flavorful, and everything you could want in Texas BBQ. The sausage and sides were super but I’m going to dream about that brisket.
