Two Nice things I can say about the Brisket are it was made in Texas and it was moist IE not over cooked. Great Brisket doesn’t need sauce to save it. No Bark, No Smoke Ring / flavor. And – Yes the sauce was good. Baked beens were good little on the soupy side & didn’t see any onions or pieces of meet tosses in. Potato Salad was perfect and the fresh hot roll an unexpected addition. Mondays not the best night of the week for Brisket. Will see who’s open tomorrow. All-In-All, A Good Meal for a fair price. Served by a Great Team.
First time eating there. For the price the portions were small. I’m a small guy and the 3 meat 2 sides plate with the bread added had me wanting more. Food was pretty good but not enough for price paid. Register person was very personable and customer oriented. The pre-reserved room well in advance was not near properly cleaned nor ready when we were set to begin.
My first visit to this Texas BBQ spot was an interesting journey. Upon arrival, I learned the unique ordering process: first, you place your order, then you find your seat. However, no one really tells you until you ask how it works. At the counter, a tantalizing array of meats awaited, offering various combinations from two to three selections or even family-sized meals.Opting for the two meats combination, I sampled their glazed BBQ ribs and lean brisket. While the brisket won me over with its tender texture and robust flavor, the ribs fell a bit short, delivering an average taste. Additionally, the BBQ sauce, unfortunately, lacked the homemade touch I had hoped for, leaving me underwhelmed. On the brighter side, the potato salad and slaw were standouts, boasting rich flavors that complemented the meats perfectly. As for dessert, the vanilla ice cream paired with peach cobbler was a delightful treat, with the vanilla particularly stealing the show. The restaurant itself offers ample seating and convenient free parking, making it an ideal spot for family outings. While my experience had its highs and lows, I appreciate the overall atmosphere and will likely return to explore more of their offerings. A solid choice for a casual BBQ meal with loved ones.
