The service was great. The people at the food counter were knowledgeable and very helpful in helping us make a selection. The shredded beef sandwich was spicer than I had anticipated. I tried it with mustard, pickles, onions, and BBQ sauce. I enjoyed it. The potato salad tasted like pickles for the first few bites until I got used to it. Once I got used to it. I liked it. The green beans were nicely seasoned and good. The ribs were absolutely delicious. The seasoning was so good, I didn’t feel it needed to be dipped in BBQ sauce. The fries were delicious. The first few bites seemed very salty. They were uniquely seasoned and paired nicely with the ribs. The Texas toast was not so good. It seemed like it was coated with and had absorbed some sort of oil that gave it an unpleasant flavor. I would have enjoyed it more with butter rather than oil. It was a bit pricey at around $37 for two people. I would be willing to try it again.
It’s not the best brisket I’ve had HOWEVER it’s good. I like my brisket moist and tender with a very good flavor. First time having the chicken here it was good. Always a very friendly staff. I don’t care for the way they do BBQ sauce. I prefer a bottle at the table and not a little cup from the counter. I.
I ordered a small rib plate to go with fries They charged me $15.79. I got three very small ribs. My husbamd got the three meat plate with ribs as one of the meats and he got 2 ribs in addition to the other 2 meats for $19. Make it make sense. It was a rip off. The fries were hard as a rock. I won’t be hurrying back anytime soon.
