Great place to bring family to eat at. All the food is wonderful, service is normally outstanding. Lots of country style decor to look at. The cocktails are also really delicious but they can’t be taken togo sadly. The best entrees I have had is probably either the ribs or the steak. There is a combination where you can have both but the steak will be a bit smaller.
My daughter and I decided to eat at the Texas Roadhouse in Flower Mound last Sunday and like usual, it was up to our expectations. The service was good and we were seated right away. We both ordered the small steak , salad and stuffed sweet potato and had the Blooming Onion as an appetizer. The onion was delicious, perfectly fried and paired with the dipping sauce it was so good. The steak was done exactly as ordered and it too was wonderful. Their house salad is always a hit and the Ranch Dressing is the best ever. I think the reason I love this salad so much is due to the salad dressing. It tastes fresh and so much better than the bottled variety. The stuffed sweet potato was a nice alternative to the usual French fries or mashed potatoes. The only concern was that our waiter somehow got the idea that we were going to share our 6 ounce steak! When we pointed out that we wanted 2 orders made exactly the same he was very nice and apologized profusely for his mistake. He said he would bring my steak out right away but we were actually finished when it arrived. I feel this was not our servers fault. He again apologized for his error. All in all, I will continue to support this restaurant. The food is consistently good and their prices are very reasonable. In fact, fast food eateries charge about the same as the Roadhouse but without the atmosphere or food quality.
Stopped here for dinner. There is an early dinner special from M-Thur 4-5.30pm that is $10.99 which you can pick from 11 entrees and comes with your choice of two sides. Most of us ordered the 6 oz sirloin dinner. The rolls provided were soft and tasted great with the cinnamon butter. I asked for my sirloin to be medium rare, however from first cut there was no pink. Others at the table also had their steaks a bit more cooked than requested. However, steak tasted fine and since the place was getting busy felt was best to leave as is. Perhaps was an off day for steak.
