My buddy and I stopped here on our way back to Austin. We’re so glad we did too. The food was delicious and hit the spot! I got two brisket plates and he got a rib plate. The brisket was moist and flavorful! Big fan of the bigger Mac n cheese. The chili beans were delicious as well. I will be stopping here every time I pass by. Very attentive customer service too. They were both very nice. I’m typing this as I’m eating my leftovers… still damn good after reheating. Great job!
Shhhh. The secret is out…make sure on your travels between Houston and San Antonio you stop in Columbus. About a mile north of I-10 you’ll find Woods BBQ. This place has food that will challenge any of the ‘famous’ BBQ locations in the state. Don’t let the exterior of the old gas station fool you. Stop in and enjoy. The portions are large. A one meat plate comes with two sides.
John Woods was very kind and after eating his food I understand why. wow! ribs, brisket, chicken, sausage, collard greens, butter potatoes, green beans, mac n cheese, potato salad, and the sauce was all amazing. Thank you for sharing your food! definitely worth the stop
