This is one of my favorite stops between Houston and Dallas. Being right around the half way point makes it a great stop for gas and a restroom. I enjoy the wide selection of canned goods, smoked meats and sweet treats available. The fuel center is easy to use with clearly original parts. You can be confident there is not a skimmer attached and the restroom is always clean in the ten years I have visited. Make this a stop on your drive!
Okay I was a little skeptical at first. I didn’t really expect much from the experience. But let me tell you the brisket is a mouth full of flavor! The ribs are great. Macaroni is okay but my fav is the brisket! The smoke ring is amazing. It’s almost candy flavored. Budan is amazing! I got the jalapeno one! Does not disappoint!
Great Texas stopping point, since 1978. BBQ, snacks, baked desserts, meat products that you take home and cook later, etc… They have it. See all the photos. I tend not to criticize the state of the public restrooms because being a trucker, I’m just grateful that they are there. ALSO, TRUCKERS: They have a small area for us. It’s a little crazy because its up a big hill, but like with the public restrooms, Im just happy its there. Thank you to the owners for including us! For car drivers, there are a lot of pumps in the front.
