Stopped going to Denny’s years ago because I felt like everything had the same taste. Maybe the type of oil they use for cooking. But an elderly friend wanted to go this weekend and I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and manager. They made us feel like we were in a friend’s kitchen. Seems like a nice place to work. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, even with each other.
Denny’s is great as always. In comparing the same dishes as in Raleigh, I want to note the quality of the steak. He was great in Raleigh, amazing in Houston. I like the vegetable dip better in Raleigh. But in any case, the price-quality ratio and service are worthy of the highest praise. It was a little noisy, but it’s one of the few places to eat on Christmas Day.
We had a party of five, and out of that, three orders came out terrible! I ordered a burger without cheese and it came with cheese, another person ordered with no strawberries and it came out with strawberries, and the last bad order was right until we opened up the burger and realized the actual burger was smaller than our hands! It’s completely terrible, oh, and that’s after we waited an hour for the food with only one check on us for refills!
